Salt Lake City International Airport SLC

A view looking out one of the connecting walkways between concourses. The photo doesn't do it justice.

Madame Tussauds Marilyn Monroe - Hollywood, CA

La Taguara - Madison, WI

La Taguara judging by this afternoon's crowd is very popular with the Spanish speaking population and looking at the folks I'll assume are of South Americans heritage. Inside, La Taguara is a clean, bright restaurant with festive happy decor which all the left us eagerly anticipating the food.

Little Big Burger - Portland, OR

It's great that Little Big Burger paints the prices on the side of the building in big bold letters as big as their name sign. That's what I call commitment to fixed prices. Five years from now, will the prices still be the same? Probably not but because the food is low priced as is and great for the price, they will have built a base of loyal customers even if their prices go up a few.

Nobu - San Diego, CA

Located in the Gaslamp Quarter. It's an expense account restaurant that even the company expense account won't cover.  Despite the prices, it was packed at dinner.  Tough to be rich.

Popeyes - Salt Lake City International Airport SLC

Popeyes are limited in my neck of the wood and with limited time between flights, Popeyes was an easy as well as an anticipated choice.  This one is located by Gate B12.

Burgerville - Portland International Airport PDX

Burgerville isn't part of the mass restaurant renovation ongoing now at PDX but it is a newer establishment. Burgerville offers a novel approach of customer interaction with the order taker out front without separation of a counter like rental car return service.

King Burrito - Portland, OR

King Burrito is home to good cheap eats and the locals know it as evident by the constant queue during the dinner hours.  Customers included a number of Hispanic families so that's always a good sign.

The Fishwife Seafood Restaurant - Portland, OR

Fishwife Seafood Restaurant reminds me of the No Name restaurant in Boston with the low grade furniture, bare concrete grow, and fish themed decor. But that's where the similarity ends because the food here tastes so much better.
